I live in the Chicago suburbs and I’m usually in the city 3-4x a week for work. It kills me to see business professionals that don’t pay enough attention to their clothing. It irritates the hell out of me to see someone in a nice suit but it fits them like something they borrowed from their dad’s closet. What’s the point of buying a nice suit if you’re not going to get it properly tailored? There’s nothing more off-putting than walking into a meeting or interviewing someone who looks like they’re lost in their jacket and pants. When buying a suit always remember to budget for proper tailoring! Poor fit can make a $1000 suit look like you bought it from H&M while proper tailoring can make an H&M suit look like you bought it from a high-end designer.
